Nom genèric de les sals que deriven de l’anió hexacianoferrat (III) [Fe(CN)6]3 - .

Hom obté els ferricianurs tractant una sal de ferro(III) amb un excés de cianur alcalí, segons la reacció

Fe2(SO4)3 + 12KCN →3K2SO4 + 2K3Fe(CN)6.

Tractant un ferricianur soluble amb Fe2 + hom obté el ferricianur ferrós, o blau de Turnbull, segons la reacció

3Fe3 + + 2[Fe(CN)6]3 - → Fe3[Fe(CN)6]2↓.
